Laser Scanning
In response to the growing need for time saving field data acquisition among Lake Area industries, we have added Laser Scanning Services to our Home Office capabilities, which will complement the design engineering and drafting services our staff already perform. High definition 3D Laser Scanning, is a fast, accurate, and cost effective method for detailed field data acquisition and documentation.
Equipment
We have purchased Leica’s newest innovation in 3D documentation, the Leica RTC360 Laser Scanner for use on our scanning projects. The 3D scanner utilizes high speed, Class 1, eye safe invisible infrared beam technology to precisely measure objects up to 426.5 feet away. The scanner captures all visible objects with millions of dense measurement points. Together, these points form a point cloud, which is an exact 3D photo realistic digital replica of the existing ‘as-built’ conditions.
